Vietnam Logistics Sector Faces Demand for Over 350,000 Skilled Workers by 2035
Vietnam’s logistics industry is entering a period of rapid growth, playing a critical role in supply chains, international trade, and e-commerce development.
Industry experts forecast that by 2035, the sector may require more than 350,000 additional skilled professionals, while the current workforce supply is meeting only around 10% of market demand.
This reality highlights the urgent need for stronger collaboration between universities and businesses to bridge the gap between academic training and practical industry requirements.
Speaking at the seminar “Career Trends and University–Enterprise Collaboration in the Digital Era,” industry leaders emphasized the importance of building an integrated training ecosystem where enterprises actively participate in developing future logistics talent.
“Academic foundation and a serious learning attitude throughout university remain key factors businesses evaluate during the recruitment process.”
Mr. Yuki Truong, Managing Director of AVI Logistics Corporation, stated that academic foundation and a serious learning attitude throughout university remain key factors businesses evaluate during the recruitment process.
In addition to professional knowledge, AI and digital technologies are rapidly becoming essential competencies for logistics professionals.
Experts agreed that within the next five years, AI and automation will continue reshaping logistics operations by optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and streamlining organizational structures.
According to representatives of AVI Logistics Corporation, AI is not replacing human resources entirely; instead, it is increasing demand for professionals who can effectively utilize technology, analyze data, and manage intelligent systems.
Industry speakers also emphasized that beyond technical capabilities, continuous learning, adaptability, and perseverance remain the core qualities for long-term success in the increasingly competitive and fast-evolving logistics industry.
AVI Logistics Corporation believes that stronger collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, and technology partners will be the key to developing a high-quality logistics workforce capable of supporting the industry’s future growth.
